We are excited to announce that we are back for the fourth annual Paul Woldu Football Camp! Thanks to the overwhelming positive response to the 2016 camp, we are ready to get back on the field for round three. For those who attended last year, we thank you for the support and encourage you to attend again to gain even more skills and knowledge. For those that are new to the Paul Woldu Football Camp, get ready for a fun and action packed day – you won’t regret getting involved in this one-of-a-kind football camp!
Regina’s own, Paul Woldu, is a living example of working hard and dreaming big. Paul, a three-time Grey Cup Champion, is ready to share his secrets (for the third time!) of how he has made his dream a reality as the love of football runs deep throughout Saskatchewan’s youth here in the heart of Rider Nation. Whether you’re interested in pursuing the professional football dream or just looking to be the best player you can be there are four main pieces of the puzzle that must come together to create an athlete’s path of great success. Woldu and other Saskatchewan Roughrider top players are ready to guide, coach, and support Saskatchewan’s youth through a one-day football camp that will explore each of these important four areas:
- Skills and Technique
- Strength and Conditioning
- Film and Mental Preparation
Woldu will be the first to tell you not to be fooled that an athlete’s technique will take them to the next level without the proper nutrition, conditioning, and mental preparations.
Saturday, May 20th, 2017. Full itineraries will be sent out closer to the date.
Mosaic Stadium – Home of the Saskatchewan Roughriders, 2013 Grey Cup Champions (1910 Piffles Taylor Way, Regina, SK)
The camp will consist of three on-field practices broken up by sessions put on by experts in the fields of nutrition, strength and conditioning, and film and mental preparation.
The cost to attend is $100 which includes lunch, snacks and refreshments during the breaks, a practice jersey, sponsor t-shirt, insurance, and the chance to hang out with the 2013 Grey Cup Champs for the day!
This football camp is targeting players from Grade 9 through to Grade 12. Register quick as space is limited on a first come, first serve basis.
The 2017 coaching line up will be released closer to the camp date. Current Saskatchewan Roughrider players will be paired up at each position with local coaches at a bantam, high school, or junior ranking.
